This is a free and straightforward hangman that recreates the classic paper game in a way that children will find very appealing. The game has a very attractive interface which has been designed in Flash, replacing the hangman silhouette by a pile of blocks of colors so as to avoid images that may be violent for kids.
The goal is to guess the hidden word by picking up the right letters from the box. Every correct letter players pick will award them a certain amount of points. In turn, the number of blocks will be reduced if players click on a wrong letter.
Words used in the game have been taken from the Dolch list, the popular inventory that compiles the 220 most frequently used words in children books, so it is very easy. According to the level of difficulty of the words, the game is specially recommended for children of 6-8 years old.
It is a tiny application that takes literally a couple of seconds to download. Besides, it takes up a very small portion of disk space. It is completely free, but once the game is over it will show an advertisement to optionally visit.
